What is Henna? Henna (also known as Mehndi or Mehendi) is a dark brown paste made from the henna tree, and it is used to create beautiful lace patterns on skin due to its unique staining properties. Akin to a temporary tattoo, henna typically lasts around 2 weeks on the skin after application. As it is plant based, many prefer this to actual temporary tattoos. 

Apart from staining the skin with patterns, henna can also be used to stain the hair, much like a temporary hair colour.

In Singapore, in Indian and even Malay culture, Henna designs are usually adorned on the bride's hands and feet prior to the wedding, so that they will have the beautiful designs to show off on their wedding day. Check out our Gallery to see some of the clients our trainers have done.
